Abstract

The article presents comments and research related to evaluation, a topic much discussed and necessary in the educational environment and society in general, however, is not always used properly. So we sought, through this, highlight concepts and emphasize that evaluation is a device to improve the teaching and learning and not as agent of disapproval or punishment, and serves as a tool for reflection the teacher on their practice and, if necessary, change the methodology when the goals are not achieved.
