c 1. In order to become eligible for placement, the following conditions must be satisfied: (a) The Chairperson of the respective department should recommend the student for registration with CIR. (b) The student must have a CGPA of 6.0 or greater. In some cases a company might allow students with lower CGPA to appear for the process. However, for the purpose reckoning the number of students eligible for placements, those who have a CGPA of 6.0 and above will only be taken in to account. (c) The student should have no standing arrears. In some cases a company might allow students with arrears to appear for the process. (d) Student should have not repeated any academic year. In some cases a company might allow such students to appear for the process. (e) Each student must have maintained a minimum of 80% attendance in the training sessions conducted by CIR (f) The student must qualify in the examinations conducted by CIR at the end of the training programme. 2. Chairpersons of the departments are to forward the names of the students eligible for placement to CIR, with due consideration of the following aspects. Academic performance of the student General behaviour in and outside the class rooms Attendance Any other reason they consider as disqualification or otherwise. 3. The departments can recommend to CIR addition or deletion of names of students at any time, in consideration of factors specified in point 2 above. 4. Offer of appointment by companies is subject to consideration of the factors mentioned in point 2 above. Any adverse remark from the department may result in revoking of the offer made by the company. Students are to be cautioned by the departmental heads to this effect. 5. Those students who are intending to pursue higher studies should inform CIR. They will be permitted to appear in processes held by Mass Recruiters+ only, irrespective of their branch background. Further, they will not be permitted to appear for the subsequent processes held by Dream Company, Regular Recruiter, or Preferred Companies.

6. All the eligible students will get opportunity to appear in hiring process of Mass Recruiters+ and Regular Recruiters++. Further, in addition to this offer, an intermediate opportunity may be given as Preferred Companies* option between Mass Recruiter+ and Dream Option** offer. 7. In the event of a student getting an offer from a Preferred Company*, the offer from Mass Recruiters+ will be relinquished. 8. A student, who has already secured placement in a Mass Recruiters+ or Regular Recruiters++ or Preferred Company*, will be given a chance to appear in a company as Dream Option**. However, this option would lapse once he/she gets selected in a Dream Company. Such students are mandatorily required to accept Dream Option** and will forfeit their offer from all other recruiters. 9. The points 7 & 8 above mean a student can have only one offer in hand based on the following order of preference. Dream Option** - All offers from Companies listed below will be relinquished Preferred company* - All offers from Companies listed below will be relinquished Regular Recruiters++ - All offers from Companies listed below will be relinquished Mass recruiters+ 10. All unplaced students, at any point in time, should appear for all companies they are eligible for. Failure to appear would result in the students being treated as not interested in taking up a job and their names will be deleted from the placement eligibility list from future placement activity. 11. All students placed in Mass Recruiters+ should appear for all Regular Recruiters++, Preferred company* and Dream Option**, if they are eligible. Failure to appear would result in the students being barred from future placement activity and will also forfeit the previously held offer. 12. The student cannot back out of any placement process at any stage. Students doing so will be barred from future placement activity and will also forfeit the previously held offer. 13. The Directorate of Corporate & Industry Relations reserves the right to make changes in the policy from time to time for the larger benefit of the students as well as to be sensitive to actual market realities. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Director, Corporate & Industry Relations will be final and binding.

14. Company Classification Mass recruiters+ The companies that recruit en-masse (more than 100 students), other than those classified as Regular, Dream or Preferred companies. Regular Recruiter ++ The companies that recruit students with a CTC less than 4.00 Lacs Per Annum (core and software). Preferred company* M/s Accenture and IBM for example, will be the preferred companies over the mass recruiters. Eligible students will be encouraged to appear for the process and if selected will have to join without fail. Dream Option ** Companies that offer more than 4.0 Lacs per annum like Microsoft, SAP, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, Texas Instrument, National Instrument, DE Shaw, Directi, M&M, Ford, Toyota Motors, Hyundai, Tata Motors etc., will be the Dream Option Companies for the eligible students from respective branches. The aforementioned companies visiting and hiring will be purely subject to their accepting Amrita Invitation and there will be no binding or commitment on the part of CIR about their visits and recruitments. Eligible students will be mandatorily required to appear for the process, irrespective of their previous offer, and if selected, will have to join without fail. Once selected, the student cannot appear for any company in the future.
