Christopher Columbus is born

Cristoforo Christopher Columbus was born in a little house near the eastern of Genoas walls,Italy in the year of 1451.

Columbus mom is Susanna Columbus and his dad is Domenico Columbus. He settled in Lisbon, Portugal in 1477. Columbus married Felipa Perestrello e Moinz (1479), then Diego Columbus was born to Columbus and Felipa. (1480) His second son Fernando Columbus was born to Columbus and Beatriz Enriquez de Arana. (1488)

Columbus wants to travel and explore

In 1483, Columbus shows his plan for a journey to explore across the ocean to the king of Portugal but he is rejected. Instead in 1486, Columbus gets support of the king and queen of Spain. (Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand).

Christopher Columbus starts his exploration

Finally in August 3rd 1492, Columbus and his three ships start sail from Palos, Spain. In the same year he finds his first settlement called La Navidad, on the land of Hispaniola. In 1493 he added he finds another new land and calls it Isabela on the land of Hispaniola.

and he travels and explores more

In May 11th in 1502, Columbus sets sail from Cadiz with four ships. This was his 4th and final voyage.

Christopher Columbus Dies

Columbus died in Valladolid, Spain, in May 20th 1506.
