I have recently completed Fall Assessments.

Below you will find the letters and sounds your child did not know on the day he or she was tested. It is expected that students enter first grade able to recognize all letters of the alphabet and produce each letter sound. Alphabet flashcards were sent home with your child the first week of school. Please use those cards to practice letter recognition and letter sounds. I have also listed Kindergarten Sight Words that your child could not read when tested. Please work with your child to help them learn these words. Many sight words can not be sounded out and must be memorized. Sight word knowledge is important for reading success. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
