When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against it Isaiah 59:19

That massive wall of water, it stood! I am not one given to exaggeration, I saw as if something held it back, some invisible force or hand ... it just stood.

Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. Matthew 7:22, 23

For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God 2 Peter 1:21.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people Hebrews 8:10.

Had Lucifer really desired to be like the Most High, he would never have deserted his appointed place in heaven; for the spirit of the Most High is manifested in unselfish ministry. Lucifer desired Gods power, but not His character. DA 435

Satan is willing that every transgressor of Gods law shall claim to be holy. This is what he himself is doing. He is satisfied when men rest their faith on spurious doctrines and religious enthusiasm; for he can use such persons to good purpose in deceiving souls. There are many professedly sanctified ones who are aiding Satan in his work.

They talk much of feeling; they speak of their love for God. But God does not recognize their love; for it is a delusion of the enemy. Review and Herald June 20, 1900

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts 2 Peter 1:19.

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

After setting a goal I believe that I should work hard to reach it. As long as at the end I will not take the glory, God will bless my efforts and I will reach my goal.

Much of the treasure that Mhando has mined from the Bible [and preached in his meetings] is evidenced by the choice of rarely cited passages.

George Muller

according to the riches of His glory Ephesians 3:16

Before this time my practice had been, at least for ten years previously, as a habitual thing, to give myself to prayer, after having dressed in the morning. Now I saw, that the most important thing I had to do was to give myself to the reading of the Word of God and to meditation on it

that thus my heart might be comforted, encouraged, warned, reproved, instructed; and that thus, whilst meditating, my heart might be brought into experimental communion with the Lord, ...

It often astonished me that I did not see the importance of meditation upon Scripture earlier in my Christian life. As the outward man is not fit for work for any length of time unless he eats, so it is with the inner man. What is the food of the inner man?

Not prayer, but the Word of Godnot the simple reading of the Word of God. .. . No, we must consider what we read, ponder over it and apply it to our hearts. ... Through His Word our Father speaks to us. The weaker we are, the more meditation we need to strengthen our inner man.
