This Semi-Rotary hand pump works as substitute of Jet pumps where no electricity is available to lift water to the overhead

tank to be used for sanitation and drinking purposes. This pump can be used mainly for lifting water in shelters. Tubewell uses additional valve at discharge-end to create an option to lift the water at an upper water tank (usually 20-30 feet above the surface). A 1 Pipe is fixed at the reserve tank end of the discharge area and close the valve so that when we stroke the Tube well handle; it can lift the water to an overhead tank through this pipe. Otherwise, we can remove the pipe, open the valve and collect the water through downward delivery opening.

The Piston Pump also can be used as normal hand tubewell and without electricity. Using this pump, water can easily be lifted to the overhead tanks for drinking purposes and other use. A piston reciprocates up and down or back and forth to displace water in a cylinder. Flow of water in and out of the chamber is controlled by valves.
