Core Medical Topics Rationale: The students in the clinical years need to develop clinical skills in identifying, evaluating

and managing common clinical problems. This short list would be supplemental reading that will help the students in clinical rotations in patient care, clinical assessments as well as standardized testing such as USMLE CS. These 20 Chapters have been chosen due to significance of the symptoms and signs in common clinical presentations and can easily be reviewed over the entire duration of the third year. Hopefully, they will provide an opportunity for the students to refine their clinical skills around what are considered core medical topics.
