Asian Golden Cat

Living in the southeastern part of Asia, an animal scientifically known as the Catopuma Temminckii, is very close to becoming extinct. The Asian Golden Cat is an endangered

animal, with a status of nearly threatened. There are many wild cats from all around the world; some have characteristics very similar to the domesticated cat. Weighing about twenty five to thirty five pounds, and growing between three and four feet long, this wild Asian cat prefers rocky woodlands. Slowly losing their habitat, plays a major

part in why this gray, black, golden brown, or brightly colored red animal has a status of nearly threatened. Another reason

this animal is endangered is because of extensive hunting. The Asian Golden Cat is hunted for its meat, expensive fur, and healing bones. The Asian Golden Cat been hunted down to a small population of about ten thousand. can be grounded up to treat fevers. The hunting of the Asian Golden Cat really started to grow in 1980, when the Jiangz tribe began to trade their valuable skins. reptiles, and small deer it eats all play a major part in our food chain. If we let this animal become extinct, our whole

world may change.
