Overview: This assessment task is related to the following course objectives: 1. To understand the concepts of project planning and organization, budgeting and control, and project life cycles. 2. To learn concepts related to organizational workflow including the staffing process, project planning elements, and the project plan contents and project communications. Description: You are required to develop an idea of a new project which can be related to an actual or a hypothetical situation related to you as an Industrial or Mechanical Engineer. The project can be in any area, but it has to solve an existing or a defined problem. Assume that your project passed the selection criteria of your organization, and you are the project leader. You have the responsibilities of preparing an action plan for the project. Use your knowledge and/or the models you learned in this course and develop an action plan and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that can be used in the implementation phase of your project. What do you need to complete the task? To be able to complete the task successfully, you need Good knowledge in the project field Understanding of project definition Good organization and planning skills Knowledge of the even planning process Understanding of the WBS process

Assessment criteria: You need to demonstrate the following: 1. The project is accurately defined according to the definition of project learned in this course. 2. The proposed project contents are clear and show knowledge of project Area and/or Field. 3. Outcomes and activities are clearly identified 4. The use of even planning method in developing your action plan 5. Project plan elements are complete 6. The action plan is well presented (neat and clear) 7. The WBS process is right 8. The assignment does not exceed five pages including title page.
