Removing Primer Solenoid

1) Isolate electrical circuit to primer solenoid. 2) Gain access to, and place a tray beneath the engine. 3) The electrical cable has been disconnected from the adapter on the primer solenoid. 4) The primer solenoid to primer manifold fuel pipe has been removed. 5) The p.i.v to primer solenoid fuel pipe has been removed from the banjo connection on the primer solenoid. 6) The O-seals have been discarded. 7) Once the primer solenoid has been supported, then the retaining bolts, spring washers, plain washers have been removed and detached the retaining strap; this will release the signal pressure pipe support clip. 8) The primer solenoid has been lifted away from its mounting bracket. 9) The adapter has been removed from the electrical connection if the primer solenoid is not to be reinstalled. a) The peened rim of the locking washer has been prised away from the slots in the adapter. b) The adapter has been unscrewed with the dismantling and assembling tool. The adapter, locking washer and locking ring have been withdraw; The locking washer has been discarded.
