INTRODUCTION 1. Purpose. This bulletin provides approved standards and specific tolerances for use by affected installations in depot maintenance to insure uniformity in rebuild and serviceability of subject materiel. 2, Scope. a. These standards govern rebuild of the following mate- tiel in arsenals, depot shops, and commercial shops for the purpose of restoring an item to a serviceable condition by disassembling its as- semblies and subassemblies, by inspecting, replacing parts, and necessary boring, grinding, or machining operations, followed by assembly and final inspection: (1) Hand and shoulder weapons.
