Stephen Williams

When asked about his favorite part of being involved in Special Olympics, Stephen said, I enjoy playing, having fun and helping out the coaches when we finish practice.

Stephen Williams has participated in Special Olympics for around 20 years. He participates in basketball for the Adirondack Thunder, coached by Anne Slattery, and softball for the Adirondackers, coached by Tammy Mersinger. Throughout the years, Stephen has earned at least 10 medals in softball and basketball. Along with being a Special Olympic Athlete, Stephen also works at CVI Janitorial Services. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys watching sports on TV, hanging out with friends and participating in events like the Buddy Walk and the Polar Plunge. Not only does Stephen compete in softball and basketball, but he is also a vital part of the community.
