Location Ideas

It is crucial that we film our music video in a location that relates to the correct target audience for our video and is reflective of the song. Here are a few locations that, in my opinion, would be complementary towards the appearance of our music video, and also contribute articulately towards the structure and narrative the video.

Woodlands Road (The start of the Video)

For the beginning of the video, we intend to start at this house (Alexs home)to film the initial scenes inside the house, then proceeding with a linear approach implied by the continuation of filming down the road. The area pictured, is quite stereotypical of our target audience- built up in an urban area with the potential to convey the appearance of a culturally progress environment. The narrative of the story can be created from a household scene, using the houses rooms- also the convenience of the front door being so close to the road is useful as the narrative can move along quickly as we track the path of a Euro Love fan.

Streets of Norwich
In our music video, we intend to also capture some of the commercial side of everyday life- as we look extensively into the business lives of the public and the consumerism environment they find themselves in. We may be able to capture some of the characteristics of the public in a populated area, adding some depth into the social relations of our music video- as well as scenic expansion as we can include shots of shops and popular attractions in a densely populated location. This will additionally add to the contrast in appearance that we convey- as we compare the naturalistic environment as well as a more commercialised milieu.

Gunton Lane, New Costessey (End)

Gunton Lane is a very pictorial area of land, which conveys a sense of naturalism and creates an interactional relationship with nature due to its 'bright green' form. The vast open land will allow our filming to become easier and enable manoeuvrability, which will provide us with the ability to construct a variety of ideas when considering camera angles and shots. The numerous amount of features at this location will add a contrast in shot presentation as we will have the shots of urban areas combined with naturalistic shots as well- which will create a differentiation in the themes conveyed. It will also entail a sense of happiness and freedom due to the open areas and colourful shades of green.
