(EXTENSIBLE BUSINESS REPORTING

LANGUAGE)

What is XBRL
XBRL is a data-rich dialect of XML (Extensible

Markup Language) XBRL is a world-wide standard ,developed by an international ,non-profit-making consortium XBRL International Inc. It was developed to communicate information between business & other users of financial information. XBRL provides a common electronic format for business reporting.

XBRL tags: XBRL is a computer programming add-on that tags each segment of computerised business information with an identification

code or marker. It is a bar coding system for items appearing in the financial statement.

XBRL Taxonomies
Taxonomies are the computer-readable dictionaries of XBRL. Taxonomies enable computers with XBRL software to 1- understand what the tag is (eg;whether it is a monetary item , a percentage or text)

2-What characteristic the tag has (eg;if it has a ve value) 3- Its relationship to other items (eg;if it is part of a calculation) Taxonomies differ according to reporting purposes.

How XBRL works

XBRL is a powerful & flexible version of XML It enables unique identifying tags to be applied

to items of financial data; such as net profit. XBRL can show how items are related to one another. XBRL is easily extensible (customisable) ,so organisations can adopt it to meet variety of special requirments.
