Poetry Unit Project Assessment Rubric (50 points possible) Category Timeline Expression of Emotions Mode of Expression Beginning:

1-3 points Little or no regard to project timelines. Doesnt share his/her feelings Uses only one way to express emotions. Developing: 4-7 points Met some of timelines, but not all for the project. Shares some feelings. Uses only 2 ways to express emotion (for example: words, tone, passion, movement, facial expressions, timing) Did the following most of the time: voice carried, on task, little confusion. Not thrilled about the project, but is willing to do his or her part. Proficient: 8-10 Points Was able to stay on task meeting timelines set with teacher on the project. Can articulate feelings into words, art or dramatic event (or other teacher approved project). Is able to express emotions in 3 or more ways (for example: words, tone, passion, movement, facial expressions, timing) Voice carried well so all could hear. Stayed on task with the performance. Excited to do the project and willing to help others get excited too.
