Task 3To design a tile in the shape of an animal to be used as a means to create a repeated pattern for a print.
Step 1 Choose an animal or animals . Make an outline drawing of these animals. Step 2 Copy this shape on to your tile. Think about decoration on the animal. Geometric shapes in order to create an effective, attractive tile. Draw these shapes onto the tile. Step 3 Cut out your tile and some of the shapes on the tile in order to create a printing surface. Step 4 You are going to create a repeated pattern similar to the one that you created using paper , this time it is going to be printed.

Step 5 Choose a colour and paint it on to your tile . Lay it down and rub it so the paint is transferred on the paper. Be careful that your leave a clean impression and dont get paint on the paper where it shouldnt.Try and make it as neat looking as possible. Step6 Choose a complimentary colour and do the same thing. You have created a repeated pattern using two complementary colours.
