Dear sir/madam, I am writing with regards to your magazine's Best Film Ever competition because I really think that

the film I chose deserves a place in the DVD set you are planning to produce. Les Choristes is one of my favourite films. It is a french film that tells the story of a man, Clement, who becomes the new supervisor of a boarding school for troubled boys. Having had experience as a musician, he manages to think of a different way to keep the children from doing wrong, by creating a school chorus. The school's principal, however, disagrees, and strongly believes that every action has a reaction, meaning that there must be severe consequences for any boy that goes out of line. The film shows how the boys begin to grow up and have a new sense of what's right and what's wrong. They slowly make their peace with Clement and the let him help them, but after the principal's lack of good judgment, Clement is fired and the boys don't even get to say their goodbyes. It is an incredibly well produced film, with an impressive soundtrack, and a plot that is so powerful and sensitive that after it ends, I innevitably have tears in my eyes and a tightness in my chest, due to the sadness of Clement's departure. I hope you consider Les Choristes for a place in your DVD set because it is truly insightful and, in my opinion, its a story that would appeal to any kind of viewer who is interested in watching a memorable film. Yours sincerely Julieta Cheb Terrab
