SQ3R Strengths Effective to improve the amount of information will be retain in beginning reading through surveying and previewing. Form some general ideas on the subject or topic to be read. Help to engage the readers interest in the material and help to improve comprehension of material dramatically. Help students to learn to look for main ideas (read subtitles, lists, charts, graphs) Encourage students to use their imagination and abstract reasoning abilities during developing questions. Three Rs of SQ3R , Read, Recite and Review allow the readers to individualize the reading process in several ways. Teach the students to create their own questions based on the texts. Time consuming take longer time to finish one topic. Some students do not have skill to transfer the information retained into graphic organizer after reading. Students cannot memorize well all the information. The questions have been developed tends to our topic. Weaknesses Not every students have highly motivated and interested in the subject.
