CCSD Human Resources: I am applying for an elementary teaching position with the Clark County School District. As a graduate from Nevada State College, I hold a Bachelors degree in Arts of Elementary Education. I am eager and committed to provide quality education in the district in which I received my K-12 education. My resume is enclosed for your review. My experiences working with Clark County School District students, makes me an exceptional candidate for a teaching position. I have completed over 85 hours of observations inside CCSD classrooms, as part of the Nevada State College Teacher Preparation Program. In addition, I have donated over 100 hours of volunteer work, working with students in small groups and becoming familiar with daily teaching duties. Furthermore, I had the experience providing free tutoring to students located in a Title 1 school. Not only did I gain experience writing, delivering, and reflecting on individualized lesson plans but I grew a stronger understanding of cultural diversity. Lastly, as an active substitute teacher I gained the experience working with a variety of grade levels throughout the elementary level. The culmination of these opportunities has enhanced my teaching skills and solidified my passion and want for teaching students in the Clark County School District. Passion is my number one quality that sets me apart from others. Since the day I was old enough to talk, I knew teaching would be my lifelong career. Nothing is more rewarding then working along aside students to set goals, overcome challenges, and watch them become successful and independent.
