MODULE BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES PROBLEM BASED LEARNING SCENARIO A: A 59-year-old man is brought to the emergency room by officers after

a family member found him extremely confused and disoriented, with unsteady gate and irregular eyes movements. The patient has been known in the past to be a heavy drinker (chronic alcoholic). He has not known medical problems and denies any other drug usage. He is extremely disoriented and agitated. Horizontal rapid eyes movement on lateral gaze is noted bilateral. His gate is very unsteady. SCENARIO B : A 60 year old female visited to the intensive care unit (ICU) Dr Soetomo Hospital yesterday evening. She was complaining of a burning sensation in her throat and mouth followed by nausea and several times vomiting, diaphoresis, agitation and dyspnea after in the morning as her breakfast, she ate steamed Cassava.
