Ladys finger is one of the most mouth watering vegetables, due to its great palatability and flavour. The spicy flavours of the chosen ingredients mixed together with potato and ladys finger makes it a delicious recipe.

Ingredients
250 gm ladys finger 50 gm potato 5-6 pcs chopped garlic 2tbsp oil, 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds,0.5 tbsp asafoetida, 0.5 tbsp turmeric powder, 0.5 tbsp red chilli powder, 0.5 tbsp cumin/coriander powder and salt according to taste

How to process

Combine all the required vegetables and place them together. Wash, wipe and cut the ladies finger into small round pieces. Cut the potato into small pieces. Either smash the garlic or cut it into small round pieces

Method
Heat oil in a vessel and tamper Fenugreek seeds. Add chopped garlic and deep-fry a while, until it gets brown. Add chopped ladys finger and potatoes. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin/coriander powder and salt according to taste.

Mix well and cook it covered for 10-15 minutes. Dont add water; allow it to cook with steam.

Serving tips
Remove from the heat and serve hot, as a part of the main course, with salad, soup, papad, chapati, dal and rice.

Cooking tips
Either use copper bottom vessel or a non-stick pan. Fry in medium flame with generous oil and dont cover it fully; so that the vegetable gets cooked. Along with garlic, one can add tomato and onion as well.
