Requirements for successful completion This guide helps you to study for the Architecting HP Server Solutions (HP0-S36) exam. You can benefit from this guide whether you are attempting to expand your existing HP certification or you have another vendor presale background and want to get certified with HP. To pass the exam, you will need to demonstrate your ability to correctly explain HPs server portfolio; describe and position the HP server solutions, their architecture, purpose, benefits, and components; analyze customer requirements and design an appropriate HP server solution; and demonstrate key features and benefits of the HP server portfolio.

There are two paths to achieve this certification, as outlined below. The exams you must pass are dependent upon which achievements you currently hold.
Path 1
This path is designed for networking professionals who have one of the following certifications: APC HP Integrity Servers APC HP ProLiant Server Solutions
If you meet these criteria, then passing the HP0-S36 alone gives you the certification. By completing this path, you will also be granted the HP ASE Server Solutions Architect V8 certification.
Path 2
If you do not meet the requirements for path 1, then you must complete this path, which is designed for new candidates. First, you must achieve the prerequisite exam, HP0-D13, Technical Introduction to the HP Enterprise Portfolio. Second, you must pass the following exam: Architecting HP Server Solutions (HP0-S36) Table 1 summarizes the requirements for both paths.

You are highly encouraged to attend this course, particularly because it offers content on the HP ProLiant Gen8 servers with over 150 new design innovations, including the HP ProActive Insight systems architecture which comprises powerful hardware and software that delivers server life cycle automation, while at the same time providing continuous intelligence on server health, power usage and other important diagnostics. HP ProLiant Gen8 with the built-in HP ProActive Insight architecture addresses the top concerns of enterprises via intelligent technologies that automate tasks and significantly improve uptime. Register for these courses in The Learning Center of your HP Partner Portal, which is the HP Learning Management System for HP customers and partners. You will require an HP Learner ID to register for a class. Please obtain this ID and then register for classes at least one week in advance. Costs and scheduling vary according to region.
This course is designed for account-aligned presales technical specialists who design and justify HP crossportfolio solutions to customers. Learners attending this course will gain knowledge of business requirements, products, concepts, technologies, and solutions within a customer sales engagement. In addition, they will learn the technical concepts and technologies of HP server solutions. A series of demonstrations and lab assignments reinforce the learning concepts delivered in this class. You will need to use the exhibit to complete the test item successfully. The test may include: Multiple choice questions that have a single correct answer Multiple response questions that have two or more correct answer Pull-down or matching items Point-and-click questions that require you to click on the correct answer
Before you answer a question, take the time to read the entire question and all of the options carefully.
