Special Adaptations: The Great white shark has an extra sense which allows them to detect the movement of living animals. It has adapted a body temperature that is higher than surrounding waters temperature. Some of the great white sharks body parts are always 14 degrees C higher than the water temperature.

Niche: The great white shark lives in almost all coastal and offshore waters that have a temperature between 12 and 24 degrees.
