They didnt want a chief executive because they didnt want someone like King George.
Lack of leadership from central government. No single leader for the government.
This could be a problem because some states could possibly have to put up with laws they didnt want. States often chose not to pay taxes, and the federal government didnt have the funds to operate effectively. It means that if they have a local army, they may take away some of the citizens rights. And they congress didnt have enough money to make their own army, so they had to ask for money from the states.
This was included because the government then wasnt strong enough to make them pay. Fear of a central government with a strong army that might take away citizens rights.
Congress did not have the power To draft an army. It could only Request tax money from the states.

They included this because all of the colonies needed to agree to change something, because they were amendments, which meant that they applied to everyone. Fear of a strong central government that could force states to pay for things that they dont want
Nearly impossible to make a change to Articles. Any one of the states could stop an amendment that of the other states wanted.
If congress really needed something, they couldnt just ask for money for the colonists, which was probably a big problem because

Congress couldnt handle fights with states because they probably dont know the whole story, and they couldnt favor one side or another.
Disputes among states often could not be resolved. Created disunity among states.
