FOCUS Box Lunch and Tour at The Cummer


Jacksonville, Fla. - FOCUS Cummer, Friends from the Ocean Communities United to Support The Cummer, will host a Box Lunch and Tour at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens on Wednesday, November 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests will enjoy a Curatorial led tour of the Los Mailou Jones: A Life in Vibrant Color and Histories in Africa: Twenty Years of Photography by Elizabeth Gilbert exhibitions, in addition to a box lunch. Admission is $30 for FOCUS members and $40 for non-members, refunds will not be given after Friday, November 2, 2012. From each ticket purchased, $10 will be donated to The Cummer. This tour will offer guests the opportunity to see two exhibitions that display a dynamic connection between art and culture through two different artistic mediums. The exhibitions will showcase the art of Los Mailou Jones, a collection of 64 paintings that depict personal and social themes in African American culture, as well as the art of Elizabeth Gilbert, an exhibit of more than 50 rich black and white photographs that capture political and social upheaval in Africa.
