Plight of Mehrab girls school

Like many other girl schools in Sindh province, the overall conditions including staff, teaching, standard of teaching, administration, in the government girls higher secondary school, Mehrabpur, Taluka Mehrabpur, Naushahro Feroze District are Deplorable. All the teachers live in the vicinity including the headmistress but they never come in time to teach the students, whenever, they come they waste their time in fun and frolic. Hardly there is any lady teacher who focuses her attention and energy to the girl students in the school; most of them are daughters of poor farmers, peasants and laborers.

A few years the government established one computer laboratory and provided brand new computers so as to promote computer literacy among the girls and also teachers who do not know the computer, but since the day of its establishment the computer laboratory has remained shut and one can see layers of dust on the brand new PCs in the laboratory.

In addition to this, in order to promote sports culture among the girls, the government provided all game and sports items/ material but that has remained in the key and lock. Like computer teacher, Physical Training Instructor (PTI) has not been appointed in the school. It is distressing fact to reveal here that the stipend money given to deserving and poor girl students is embezzled and the poor girls are deprived of their rights.

However, the relevant provincial authorities including the provincial minister for education and literacy and others are appealed to take notice of this pitiable state of affairs in the said school in Mehrabpur and also in other schools in the province and save the future of girl students and that of the province.
