This document describes two staining techniques using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E). The first technique stains cell nuclei blue-violet and cytoplasm pink-red. The second technique adds methyl blue and stains nuclei violet, cytoplasm light blue-gray, and collagen fibers dark blue.
