Environmental geologi is the interaction of humans with the geological environment. Geological environment: physical constituent (rock such as sediment, soil and fluid); surface of the earth (landform, its processes and time) Environment: a resource and a hazard to human development and : also essential to life.

Environmental geologi: as a subset of enviromental science (study of the interaction of human with all aspects)
