CH 1 NIP (Normal Incidence Pyrheliometer) is designed for unattended normal incidence direct solar radiation measurement research. Due to the quartz window the CH 1 covers the total solar spectrum between 0.2 to 4.0 m. CH 1 is intended for use with the Kipp & Zonen two-axis 2AP Solar Tracker. CH 1 fully complies with the most current ISO and WMO performance criteria, for that of a First Class Normal Incidence Pyrheliometer. Every CH 1 is calibrated upon manufacture, and is supplied standard with a WRR (World Radiometric Reference) traceable calibration certificate. A manually selectable filter wheel option is also available for CH1, extending standard cut-on spectral transmission from 200 nm, to 530, 630, or 695 nm. Additional non-standard optical filters are also available upon request.
