Dear Parents and Guardians,

Late yesterday afternoon, our School District was contacted by several of the local television stations as part of a late breaking feature that appeared on Channels 6, 10, and Fox. Apparently, photographs of some young people from the area including some students from Sandy Run, Keith Valley and other local schools were lifted from their Facebook pages. From what we have been able to discern, there is nothing whatsoever indecent regarding the photographs, but the website or websites to which they have been uploaded are inappropriate and highly questionable. The Upper Dublin Police Department is investigating to determine what exactly occurred, and whether or not the incident rises to the level of criminal intent. No further information is available at this time, but a reminder of our need to continue to educate and be vigilant in regard to some of the risks associated with the Internet.
