Hope for the Flowers

God created the flowers,

strikingly beautiful and appealing to the eyes. But the next thing you know, they wither so quickly and are eventually gone.

So is man.

Flowers illustrate the shortness of mans life. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. (Job 14:2)

Mans days are numbered.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. (Psalm 103:15)

His glory falls short as well.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. (I Peter 1:24)

How can man find true happiness and fulfillment in his life with the short time that he has?

Sin is what hinders man from becoming successful in life.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:20)

Because of Adam and

Eves disobedience in the Garden of Eden, it is mans fallen nature to sin. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Does sin govern your life?

The sun shines and the

heavens rain so that flowers may live and do what they need to do. Just as God shows His love to the flowers, He does the same for man.

He never forgets.

To fulfill His promise, God

sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. Because of this, we can live and do what we need to do just like the flowers.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 5:9)

But what is it that

we need to do? Flowers were made to bloom with all their beauty, and it is the same with man. Mans chief end is also to glorify God.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2)

bloom, man, in the right time, will grow into the person that God wants him to be. But unlike the flowers, man doesnt have to worry anymore of withering so fast.

Just as flowers take time to

His physical body may

rot away, but because of the hope he has in Christ, he has eternal life.

So whenever you see a

flower, instead of thinking about the shortness of mans life, think of what Jesus has done on the cross.

The End.
