s. To refocus the emotions. To redirect the will of the client. Procedure: Ask clients to void first so as not to distract the activity. Motivate the clients with introductory activities. Allow each client to read each riddle and answer it. Do not allow only one client to answer. Ask follow up questions. Try to evaluate the clients understanding through asking for summary. Nursing Responsibilities: Avoid sensitive topics such as psychiatry, psychology and murder. Make sure the client is actively listening. Help the client focus on the activity. Allow clients to answer on their own. Do not allow any client to become self centered. Benefits for Patients: Broadens and deepens clients understanding. Allows broadening of their experience in a safe and non judgmental way. It frees the clients from being confine of loneliness. Allows clients to explore beyond their knowledge. In the first place, I dont know that we are conducting bibliotherapy, I thought we are just conducting a simple riddle reading activity, however, it seems that clients are actively participating even though it is too elementary for them. It looks like the activity expands the clients attention span. Being confined to a mental institution is so difficult for them and having a student nurse may alleviate their loneliness through various recreational activities to improve their social skills. Since I was not aware that we are conducting a bibliotherapy, Ill just go with the flow with my groupmates. ---
