Indian Ports It is Limited and cargoes are handled by conventional means Cargoes are handled mostly for consumption and originating. Hence heavily dependent on internal connectivity Containers arriving at Ports in India have to wait at the gate for considerable time for transaction of formalities & congestion. There are many human interfaces and manual exchange of documents. Indian Ports play both commercial and regulatory roles.
