Firmware Upgrade Instructions:

Note: Please use WIRED connection (Ethernet cable) when upgrading the firmware. 1. Plug in the WL556E to a power outlet and make sure it is powered on. 2. Press the reset button using a pin or paper clip for 5 seconds to restore the WL556E to its factory default configuration. 3. Connect your PC to the Ethernet LAN port of your WL556E using an Ethernet cable. 4. Login to your WL556E Web UI, type in 10.0.10.254 on your web browser. 5. Type admin for the Username and admin for Password on the login page. 6. Click System and then go to Firmware click the Browse button then select the latest firmware then press OK. Filename: 229.106.x-xxx.img

7. Click the Upgrade button once you have selected the latest firmware for wl556e. 8. Please DO NOT TURN OFF or Reset the device when the unit is being upgraded. (Note: Firmware Upgrading may take up to 9 minutes) 9. Once the Upgrade is completed, please Reset the unit to factory defaults. 10. Under System go to Setting, click Reset button. Or press the reset button for 5 seconds.
