Plants take in Carbon Dioxide (a greenhouse gas) in order to grow. Deforestation is a way in which humans directly cause Global Warming as trees are cut down and are not replaced which leads to a build up of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere.

Global Warming is the recorded increase in the average temperatures of the earths atmosphere and oceans. Global Warming affects the weather patterns on Earth and causes Climate Change which alters our environment. It leads to extreme weather phenomena such as flooding and drought.

Melting glaciers will cause the sea level to rise making coastal plains and low lying regions uninhabitable.

Since the industrial revolution Greenhouse Gases have been released into the atmosphere. The burning of Fossil Fuels creates an excess of these gases which trap sunlight. Therefore, the average temperature on Earth will continue to increase as long as we keep increasing the amounts of greenhouse gases we put into the atmosphere.

Changes of climates affect the growth of Forests. Climate also affects the rate and severity of many disturbances of forests.

As long as the Earths temperature continues to rise, the glaciers will melt causing sea levels to rise. This also means that some animal and plant species may be forced out of their natural habitats and they may be under threat of extinction, for example the Polar Bear.
