Marvin and Bumblebee good robot guys

Posted on November 23, 2012 by Marko ivkovi

Recently Morena started working with two robot platforms, namely Fez Spider and NXT Mindstorm 2.0 . We managed to incorporate few different technologies into two robots, Marvin (Fez Spider) and Bumblebee (NXT Mindstorm 2.0). Android Phone was used to power logic and to get perception of the world around. OpenCv is our base on which robots are being developed in terms of object detection and object tracking. Fez Spider has cpu which runs .Net Micro Framework code and enables us to program it more agile. Connection between Android Phone and Spider is achieved via usb cable with support of Fez Bridge that runs on robot. NXT Mindstorm comes from the Lego family and it has its own firmware, it is also highly programmable, it is connected to android phone via Bluetooth. These robot guys come a long way in a couple few weeks.
