    Re: Clarifications on CVM/Bovespa queries Official Letter OFCIO/CVM/SEP/GEA-1/n 261/2011 In reference to todays press reports regarding possible negotiations with Renova Energia S.A. ("Renova"), Light S.A. ("Light") hereby announces that negotiations regarding a possible investment in Renova are in fact under way. Light would like to make it clear that it constantly analyzes investment opportunities that are in line with its Strategic Plan, which has been widely disclosed to the market, including investments in the generation of renewable energy. Although the ongoing talks with Renova are of a confidential nature, any important developments regarding the negotiations will be immediately disclosed to the market, pursuant to CVM Instruction 358/02 and the prevailing legislation.
