The Procedures for Membrane Protective Washing in RO

1) Check the pressure of compressed air, the valve can only be started when the pressure is above 0.4 MPa. 2) The waste water discharge valve for self cleaning filter shall be manually opened. 3) Start up the submerged pump in the computer, choose the oxidant pump required for operation and make it in remote mode. 4) When the water from inlet is clean and clear, manually starting ultra filtration washing discharge valve, after the indicator light of the same is on, opening washing water inlet valve. 5) After indicator light of ultra filtration washing discharge valve is on, slowly shutting down the waste water discharge valve for self cleaning filter. 6) After water yielded from ultra filtration washing discharge valve for 5 minutes, checking the amount of FRC whose range shall be controlled within 1-2 ppm. 7) When the amount of FRC is at normal level, stopping the submerged pump and when the pressure is reduced, shutting down both the washing water inlet valve and washing discharge valve. 8) Ultra filtration shall be washed in every two days. Suggestion: In some cases negative pressure suction might occur in the oxidant pump, so the outlet valve for oxidant pump shall be closed when in shut down condition and the outlet valve must be opened when start-up. 9) 10) 11) Usually reductant protection liquid at density of 1% for RO membrane shall be changed once a month. Adding 5T UF generated water or demineralised water and hydrosulfite of sodium at density of 1% in the washing tank, after mixing stop the washing pump. Opening the producing water washing return valve, concentration water washing return valve, water inlet washing valve and starting up the washing pump, slowly starting up washing safety filter outlet valve, the pressure shall be controlled at 0.2 MPa monitoring the water level in the washing tank, if the water level is not sufficient, the washing water shall be replenished into the tank, then recalculating the dosage and mixing. The waste water shall be discharged whenever replacement is required. Monitoring the concentration water return pipe for the tank after recycle, when the recycling liquid flows from the generation water return pipe, stopping the pump after 10 minutes, recycle and shutting down RO washing valve.
