Math
Chapter 5 is Understanding Place Value. [Link]

-Our holiday party is on Wednesday, Dec. 19th at 11:00. Students will enjoy working on a craft, and we will have lunch snacks afterward. Please send in a new or gently used book, wrapped for a book exchange. If you have not signed up to send in a snack to share, please do. I have a sign up sheet on the door of the classroom. Thanks! -Please see attached note regarding our program supporting families during the holidays. Thanks!

Reading/Language Arts
Students will not have formal reading from the basal series this week and next. We will be working on novels and specific reading skills. I would also like to spend more time on science as well as social studies. For homework, I will send home an expository writing prompt on Monday which will be due on Friday (or before, if your child finishes writing it early). I will also be sending home math homework.
