students how to play an E on a Soprano recorder For advancing students, add F and low C to the lesson Age Group: Elementary and older Students should already have knowledge on how to play G, A, B, and high C. Have students practice these notes by having them echo different patterns with you. Start with 3 note patterns, then four, then finally 5 Once the students have this down, have the students make a peace sign with their right hand. Have them place the peace sign over the next two holes on the recorder. Now have the students echo using the new note To add in the song, first have the students follow a body percussion pattern. The different body patterns will represent the notes E, A, and G Show the lyrics to the students and have them sing along. After having them sing it, have the students add the body percussion to the song Now have all the students play along to the song Have a few students singing, a few on body percussion, and a few on recorders, and rotate who does what If the students dont seem challenged enough, add F and C into the lesson
