Operating revenue increased by 3.7% from RM5.1m to RM5.3m as compared to the previous financial year whilst expenditure increased from RM4.9 to RM5m an increase of 1.8%. This resulted in a Surplus over Expenditure of RM261K as compared to RM162K for the previous year. The surplus for the current year was mainly attributable to the successful completion of projects undertaken by Conservation with Ministry of Tourism as well as the Kelab Pencinta Alam projects undertaken by Environment Education with the full sponsorship of Telekom Bhd. In view of the commendable surplus, your Board of Trustee has approved the transfer of RM100K to General Reserve, bringing our reserve fund to RM200K as at the end of May 2012. Hence, the net surplus transferred to General fund for the current year total RM161K compared to RM62K for the previous year. Cash balance as at 31.5.12 of RM4.18m increased from RM3.34m as at the end of the previous year. Net Working Capital also improved from RM2.1m as at 31.5.11 to RM2.2m as at 31.5.12.
