Description
The SeaCom 1000 is a very compact maritime communication / telephony system to be used on river ships, supply vessels, ice breakers, patrol boats etc. It connects standard analogue telephones for cabins, offices etc. and we recommend our SeaCom 410 flush mount bridge telephone with handsfree to be used on the bridge. When SeaCom 120 PA amplifiers are connected, the system makes up a full featured cost effective PA system, distributing paging calls from all telephones. In conjunction with the SeaCom 210 talk back unit, the system can implement the classical talk-back functions for mooring stations etc. When either SeaCom 120 or 210 is connected, the system also serves as an alarm distribution system, giving 7 different tones to selected areas. When FSK based display telephones are used, the system can be used for time distribution and wake-up. NMEA time signals can be received via serial port. The build in industrial computer, which is running Windows XP embedded, is capable of acting as server for a VoIP call manager software. This gives the possibility of connecting VoIP telephones using the ship network. An unlimited number of extensions can thus be served.

Installing
The system is installed on a bulkhead using 4 x 6mm bolts.

Connections
Power and alarm relay is connected through cable glands in the bottom of the cabinnet. All 56 extensions and the trunk lines are connected internally, and a swing frame arrangement ensures easy access to the connection terminals. Wires of up till 1.5mm2 can be terminated. The system has a N.C. Relay output for connecting directly to bridge alarm systems.
