Wadi Rum Jordan Dear Reader, I will introduce one part of my Wadi Rum experience. Archaeology in Wadi Rum.

There are numerous possibilities in this region of the world to find many more things. I suggest first you read the report in http://www.wadirum.jo/Library/Rum%20Reports/archmenue.htm first to get the basic background knowledge of the research already undertaken. Then you could come and stay here for 1week to 3months for cheap at http://www.bedouinmeditationcamp.com . What I have done is map using google earth all the sites they have found already so I know the basic areas already lightly covered in Wadi Rum. Now this coming week I will begin to explore on foot and jeep the areas they haven't covered very well yet. This knowledge is from speaking with the park manager at the visitor centre. For example: This is just part of the map Ive plotted the cultural treasures found so far.

My strategy will be to explore the other regions with my camera and eyes wide open looking mostly for inscriptions on rocks. Im excited about this and fully recommend if you feel like an adventure in a beautiful area of the world you could come here and have some fun with this place as well!
