According to archives.gov in the (Magna Carta) they're trying to say that the Magna Carta helped change the English rights and King John wasn't in full control anymore. First archives.gov suppots his/her opinion by pointing out that Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in 1941 mentioned, "The democratic asspiration is no mere recent phase in human history. . . It was in the Magna Carta." therefore the Magna Carta has been used over seven hundred years. Plus we still use it to this day. Then archives.com says that Magna Carta was used in the american revutlion. That is more proof saying that we still use it to this day. Furthermore, archives.gov his/her argument about the Magna Carta by claiming that the fifth amendment was directly from the Magna Carta. Yet another reason explaining how it is still used to this day. The most interesting concept presented by archives.gov is that "the Magna is widely viewed as one of the most important legal document in the history of democracy." It's dirty, old, and has english writing on it. A few big words and alot of small words. It has a symbol at the top. It talks praying and religion.
