I didnt keep a diary for this trip, but I did make a note of our itinerary. Day one Grand Place Square Chocolate Shop (Pierre Marcolini) Sablon (Old Eland Upper Town) Sacre Couer viewpoint Gare Du Midi hotel and station Notre Dame Chapelle (church) Saint Catherines (bar) Gare Centraal Italian Restaurant Brouse underground tram to Gare Du midi Day two Eli (European Quarter) Institut Royal des Sciences Naturelles (Natural History Museum) Gran Centraal coffee Musee du Cacao et du Chocolat (chocolate museum) Galler (Chocolate shop) Gare du Midi Day three Got 10.10am train to Bruges (Brugg) hail, snow, sun and rain all day as we wandered around the town. Visited the basilica in the square. Had a dodgy burger and went on a boat ride on the river Seine. Went to Bar Windsor (in Bruges town) then got the train back to Brussels at 5pm. Went to Bourse (Platesteen) and had a traditional steak and chips and then back to hotel. Very heavy snow.

Day four 10.35am Antwerp. Walked into the main town very co smopolitan. Walked down a side road and got lost. We eventually found our way back to town two hours later. Found Letter Nijen down a side Street (Wolstraat 11) and had a lovely Belgian hot choc and waffle. Walked back to station for 4.30pm. Train 5.10pm. Back to Hotel Ibis. Out at 7.45pm to Bourse to LIncognito. Day five Packed and checked out. Got on the metro to Gare Centraal and went to see Brussels tourist attraction; the Manneken Pis. Walked to Sablon where Jon discovered an amazing photographer, (Michael Pinel). We headed to Grand Place at dusk to take pictures and then got the Tram to Gare Du Midi and homeward.
