Introduction
This book has been written for leachers of students in the 11-14 age range, especially
those teachers $ither few to the profession or new to this particular age range. There is
no such thing as, either, a typical teacher, or, a typical student. Its, therefore, highly
unlikely that every single one of the 55 activities included willbe instantly appropriote
for every leacher in every classroom setting. Instead, you will find a spread of activities
extending from the tried and trusted, more traditional games (Noughts and Crosses and
Dominoes, for example] to others which are more unusual; a spread which, itis hoped,
will provide a mixture of reossurance and challenge.
