The Issue
Obesity is a pervasive problem in America as well as

other countries, and as people increasingly become overweight, their health suffers.
64% of all Americans overweight and 30% are

obese; the percentage of children aged 6 to 19 that are overweight has doubled in the last two decades
Health risks: Heart disease, Type II diabetes, high

cholesterol, high blood pressure. Consumers have become concerned about health & nutrition since 21st century.

Targeting McDonalds
Health organizations have blamed McDonalds for growing obesity & health concerns. McDonalds is one of the powerful fast food giants in US. McDonalds bears the brunt of criticism because of the high content of fat, sugar, and calories found in its food which is linked to weight gain and consequent health problems.

Growing popularity of the Fast Food in US


Prepared & served very quickly.

Outcome of urbanization.
Dining-out has become very common. Hectic lifestyles demanding quick & convenient meals.

Fast food became synonymous with American meal.


Demand for home meal replacements.
