DEFAULT JUDGMENT This matter is before the clerk of court on Plaintiffs Motion for Default Judgment [Doc. # 6 ] pursuant to F.R.Civ.P. 55(b)(1). The record reflects that the default of this defendant for

failure to appear previously has been entered. Upon proof by affidavit of Plaintiff, Defendant Syntrax Innovations, Inc. is indebted to Plaintiff in the sum certain of Two Hundred Twenty Nine Thousand Dollars ( $229,000.00), and Defendant is not an infant or an incompetent person. Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Plaintiffs Motion for Default Judgment [Doc. # 6 ] is GRANTED, and judgment is entered in favor of Plaintiff Shanghai Host Chemical Company, LTD. and against Defendant Syntrax Innovations, Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Dollars ( $229,000.00). Costs may be taxed upon the filing of a proper Bill of Costs pursuant to Local Rule 8.03(A).
