What was the significance and relevance of Potosí in the creation of a multiethnic
colonial society? Discuss the nature of Potosí as a mining center, large urban
marketplace, and peoples of different ethnic backgrounds. Be sure that you address
the trade practices and ethnic diversity of the Potosí experience.
