Tech Today im pleasure to give speech on effectiveness of UID NO Uid no means unique identification no. Today india is one of most populated country in the world having 1.22 billion po pulation. To have a unique id of every people is important. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is an agency of the Governm ent of India responsible for implementing the AADHAAR scheme, a unique identific ation project. It was established in February 2009, and will own and operate the Unique Identification Number database.[1] The authority aims to provide a uniqu e id number to all Indians. Biome-tric identification system and checks would be used to ensure that each individual is as-signed one and only UID The authority will maintain a database of residents containing biometric and oth er data.[3] Biometric data means storing figure prints, radiation of a eyes as a data so it is usefull in many ways suppose when a person rob a bank but he leaves his figur e prints, the search of a person becomes easier by having figure prints n othe r records of that person with govt. Citizen identity, benefits and to ensure universality The ID can be used to iden tify the individual in any part of the country, so even if a person travels, thi s card will be sufficient to establish or verify his identity. Also, there are v arious citizen benefits that can be availed with this card. Corruption - Aadhar card is expected to reduce corruption. Seven states, whic h are Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Punjab have crossed 1 crore mark in terms of numbers AADHAARs issued.
